Archer Imagery - 2 Church Street Perth

Archer Imagery is a boutique portrait photography studio located just north of Perth City in Northbridge. We take pride in giving exceptional service by taking the time to listen to you, and to translate your personal story into photographs that you will treasure forever. Archer Imagery delivers the highest quality photographic artwork, which is locally designed, printed and manufactured right here in Perth.

Our team, (really more like a family) is made up of Jayga, Frances, Laura, Kate and Nathan, all of whom are passionate about photography and are each an artist in their own right. Each member brings their own individual flair, and together they photograph all the different aspects of the human journey: babies, children, families, glamour, couples, and our fur babies (pets).

You will not find too many ‘packages’ on our website, as we would rather create exactly what you want. This means that our photographers are not constrained by trying to fit our clients into a mould.  We love a challenge, and are open to suggestions and flights of whimsy. Got a shoe fetish? – No problem, bring them in. Have a favourite spot in Perth? – No problem, we’ll meet you there.

Archer Imagery is Perth's most creative portrait photography studio. Anything goes, we encourage you to be yourself! Together we will have a lot of fun, and we guarantee you will love your photos.

Nathan Archer

Our Photography Team:

Nathan - Senior Photographer

Senior photographer and business owner, Nathan Archer, has 15 years of industry experience, and founded his business on quality and artistry. Nathan's passion for photography began at age 12 when he inherited his grandfather's camera. Since then, Nathan’s journey has taken him on the path to photograph the likes of Julie Andrews, Rihanna, Heston Blumenthal, and many of our local sports personalities, as well as all of our fabulous clients!

Nathan’s efforts are also well respected by his peers and is regularly asked to judge photography competitions, including the Royal Show. He is often seen in high vis, covered in red dirt returning from photographing a mine site, but he is just as much at home creating beautiful family portraits here in the studio.

Over his career he has photographed all around Australia, including portraits, industrial, mining, commercial, events, architecture, sports, and landscapes. His images regularly appear in publications such as the West Australian and Scoop Magazine, and his photos have featured on a couple of TV ads.

For more about Nathan's story and the growth of Archer Imagery read , 'The Archer Imagery Story' here.

Jayga - Photographer

Jayga studied her Advanced Diploma in Photography in Sydney while assisting in some of Australia’s top fashion photography studios. After achieving her qualification, Jayga travelled and worked as a photographer in London.

Jayga joined our team early in 2012, and specialises in family portraits for families with grown up kids. She is also amazingly creative with glamour, fashion, and modelling portfolios.

Jayga not only shows her creativity in photography, but also plays drums in a local Perth band.

Frances - Designer

Frances joined the team as our specialist design consultant in early 2014. She has been working in portrait photography since 2010 during which time she has also completed the three year Advanced Diploma of Photography. She particularly loves that photography allows us to capture the special moments in time that often get missed in our busy lives. Together with her partner, Frances owns two beautiful Dalmatians - Lola and Duke who are very, very spoilt.

Frances has a passion for fashion, and has worked backstage at a number of fashion shows during New York Fashion Week.

She is currently working on a major home extension and renovation, which makes her the perfect person to work with you to create art pieces for your home.

Kate - (Currently on Maternity Leave)

Kate Wickens joined our team in September of 2012. Kate completed her Advanced Diploma in Photography back in 2005, and since then has photographed all over Australia.

Kate has a passion for all things kids, including creating beautiful pregnancy, newborn and family photography. Kate’s laugh is infectious, and along with her playfulness it can be heard throughout the studio. One of Kate’s quirky attributes is that when she is in the studio she can only shoot barefoot.

Kate and her partner Josh welcomed their son Jace into the world in April of this year. Kate is loving being a mum and having a bub of her own to photograph.

Our Purpose:

“To promote love by creating artistically beautiful and meaningful portraiture”

Breaking this down:

Promote Love: Portraits are about the ones we love. Our artwork should not only capture that love, but when the artworks are viewed they take you to a place of meaning and stir the love you have for your family.

Artistically Beautiful: We strive to create the most artistic portrait photography. Using our wealth of professional photography experience, top of the range equipment and the best quality printing available, we work with every client individually to create artistically beautiful portraits that are distinctively styled and themed specifically to their personality and the décor of their home.

Meaningful: It is our story that gives meaning. Our photography must display the personality of our clients. The photos must capture a moment, and truly tell the unique story of each our loved ones. By genuinely getting to know our clients and listening to their stories we endeavor to translate those stories into visual art pieces that are not only beautiful, but that go deeper than a visual image, and carry a wealth of meaning.

Ultimately we can break down our purpose into two words: ‘Promote Love’

Our desire is that from the first phone call, through planning your photography experience, the photo shoot itself, viewing your photos, designing you artworks and finally hanging them on your walls, we promote love. We want you to be drawn closer to the ones you love by not only gazing at the artworks on your walls but by the whole experience. You should leave our studio more in love with your nearest and dearest, and the artworks should strengthen your relationships and ‘Promote the Love you share’ every time you view them.
